Gary Boston
Veterinarian
Dr. Boston received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 1987, after also receiving his undergraduate degree in microbiology from UF. He and his wife Joyce met at UF and moved to Hickory upon graduation. Together they founded Countryside Pet Hospital in 1991. Dr. Boston enjoys sharing humorous anecdotes and some of his stories have become staff favorites.
Dr. Boston typically treats dogs, cats, rabbits and other small mammals.
The Bostons have a son, who graduated Lenoir Rhyne University and a daughter, son in law and grandson who live in Tennessee, where she is a Physician Assistant.
In his free time, Dr. Boston enjoys hiking with his family including the "grand dogs", and spending time with his grandson.
He currently has a high maintenance West Highland Terrier, AJ, and 1 cat, Boomerang.
